What Is MELCloud?
MELCloud is a cloud-based control app designed to let users control Mitsubishi Electric air conditioning and heating systems from any location. The advantage this gives users is the ability to precisely control room temperature and environmental settings through a compatible smartphone, tablet or PC.
Control apps themselves are nothing new. It is possible to purchase generic or brand-specific smartphone apps that link up to a thermostat via Bluetooth when the user is in the building.
MELCloud goes one step further. Your smart phone app is linked through the cloud to advanced control software, which then interfaces with your air conditioning through a Wi-Fi adapter installed next to your AC system. This means you can control your air conditioning from anywhere, whether you are on the way to the office, at your desk or in another country.
MELCloud also gives you access to up-to-date weather information, including air temperature and humidity. This lets you fine tune your environmental controls with triggers to ensure your building environment is always comfortable.
